Proposal for the Establishment of a Network of Young Ethnologists-Anthropologists

Considering that the young experts in the field of research, education and revival of traditional culture are in a disintegrated, scattered position in Europe, Recognising the importance of the help of young experts in the important work of the safeguarding of traditional culture Stressing the need of establishing closer intra-generational and inter-generational, institutional and personal connections on national and international scale, Noting that young generations have been paid much attention to in all UNESCO programs the European Folklore Institute aims at establishing a Network for young experts in the fields of sciences being in connection with the safeguarding of traditional culture and folklore.

Objectives and Activities
1. Establishment of a network of young experts by creation of information database of the most important data of biography, affiliation, research-educational-revival activities, bibliography, etc. of young experts in Europe and with possibility of electronic connections,
2. Opening a special homepage on internet in the form of electronic journal in EFI in order to assist the quick flow of information about conferences, festival, training courses, scholarships in Europe,
3. Establishment of database for the school and university curriculums, in order to gain and provide detailed information about the state and position of traditional culture and folklore in education,
4. Creation a teach yourself program with the title "Learning Ethnography and Folklore without Frontiers" and creation of access to it on internet
5. Organization of seminars for young expert with the participation of experienced, advanced researchers,
6. Organization of international fieldworks for young experts in order to widen their experiences about the fieldwork methods and about traditional culture of various local communities in Europe,
7. Providing detailed and manyfolded information about the aims and programs of UNESCO and other international organizations for safeguarding of traditional culture and in order to promote cultural development in the world.

Expected Results
1. Comprehensive information database in electronic and in printed form about the situation of young experts and being experts dealing with folklore and traditional culture,
2. Publications with the proceedings of the seminars, symposiums, training courses and field researches of young experts.
3. A teach yourself program with the title "Learning Ethnography and Folklore without Frontiers" in electronic and printed form. ECTC hopes, that the integration of young experts into an international organization will make more intensive and effective of the activities for safeguarding of traditional culture both in national and on international level.
